A healthy you, a healthy family

Healthy eating is a must be for everyone’s lifestyle, this will allow your body to keep up with your day to day activities especially when your a mum with a family. Eating frequent and healthy meals not only helps to give you much needed energy but also nutrients and vitamins for a long and healthy life.

It also teaches your child/children that eating is as important as play, it keeps both your immune system and your children strong to fight nasty bacteria.
Try and make meal times easy and quick whilst involving fun shapes and colours for your children and yourself so it's easier for you to feed them while your eating, as we all know some times mums skip meals when they are constantly on the go and putting themselves last. Be a role model for your child and teach them how to eat properly and be healthy.

Below are some quick and healthy recipes that the whole family will love, follow the link to find the whole recipe;

A mothers beauty

They say that when you are pregnant you 'glow' and even after you have had your baby, you are still glowing with this new beauty.
After having a baby, you find that you change and grow into yourself and even through the tough, long and sleepless nights, you are still finding that people are saying 'Wow,you are glowing'! Although you're feeling exhausted, tired and sluggish!

The number on the scales or the clothes tag does not make the mother, what makes the mother is the love she has for her family and herself.
It's great to see mums these days trying to make some time to still look and feel beautiful on the inside and out, even if that means a one hour massage or getting your hair and nails done it's worth the time and effort to do.
Mums also have been known to put the whole family first and forget about themselves and even though it's hard to think of yourself before the family, you as a beautiful loving mum need to take the time out every so often.

Beauty is what lies beneath.

Mothers Love

From the moment that you first learn that you're expecting, the unconditional love that you have for your child is growing as fast as they are. The day you give birth and hold your child/children is the most memorable and lovable day you will never forget, seeing your child’s tiny little body grab onto you like they have been waiting for you forever.
As the months quickly pass your baby has turned into a toddler and you are learning the changes of your child every day, good and bad. When your child is 'that child' throwing them selves down on the floor in the aisle of the supermarket, as you walk by, ignoring their award winning performance, you can't help but admire their beautiful face whilst cupping your ears to drown out the noise. The days and nights you don’t get any rest or sleep are worth the pain as your unconditional love overtakes any kind of pressure or tiredness you have.

You watch them whilst they're sleeping, eating, playing and exploring and you find yourself pinching your arm and saying- "Is he/she really mine? Did I create this beautiful child", and the one thing that will turn a mothers frown upside down is her child’s smile or hug and will bring you to instant tears, as there is no greater love than that for your child.
Becoming a mother is the most incredible feeling in the world and the love that your child shows you is the best moment of your life! This is a mother’s love.

Multitasking Mummy

Think of ‘multi tasking’ as a skill so we have to credit ourselves for doing such a great job of it in our crazy daily life of being a mum, a good wife/partner and friend, and still finding time for ourselves.
Our schedules of waking up making breakfast, lunch and dinner aswell as fitting in some healthy snacks all whilst watching the children playing and doing some work or cleaning. Ahhh I can hear you say!!!
Is there an easier way of doing this daily and making it more simple and quick. If so please I would love to know the answer. Although saying that it's hard and tiring it’s worth it when you have a beautiful loving family around you.
It's funny, as before you have children you don't realize how you can do so much at one time, or with one hand, and notice when the only place you have peace and a break is in the bathroom. Have you ever stopped for a minute and realize that you are cooking dinner talking on the phone and holding your child.Crazy but it works most of the time.
Would we change our hectic, rushing around and crazily manic days- no! Because being a mother is the best job!

A healthy lifestyle

After we get our heads around how difficult it is to manage our time and how tricky it can be to meet every task we set ourselves each morning, we tend to forget something very important - our health.

Keeping up with a healthy lifestyle after we have such busy days can sometimes become too much of an effort.  We eat on the run, occupy our time with busy ‘on the go’ activities, fit in a bit of work, perhaps even do a bit of study and lets not even mention lack of or even sometimes no sleep.

So we encourage you to set youself the challenge of re-boosting your energy everyday with a dose of health. Find an activity that will suit your needs, set up a goal for eating  healthier meals even if they have to be 'on the go' and make sure you get some quiet resting time so you don't overwork yourself.
Remember health for yourself and your family is really important because without good health you have nothing.

Time Management

As schedules are crazy and family life has grown, it's time to realise everything has changed including your time management of your daily erens and activities.
You've had your laundry load tripled, your to do list is bigger than yourself, your clothes are covered in vomit, snot and dirt and you find it takes you hours to get out of the house.

People say our life is never going to be the same once we have babies. They become our number one priority, and we shift anything and everything to accommodate to the new dynamic of family life. We now find ourselves always in the 'middle' of something, hardly ever get to sit down and enjoy a little break without having to rush rush rush to the next thing to come, and it doesn't matter how hard we try to fit everything in on time, it hardly ever works out.

 You're not alone!

Mummy time

Everyone needs time out, especially mums. As schedules these days are so busy, its hard to make that little bit of time-out for yourself.
Why don't mums make time-out for themselves these days?
I think it's healthy for them and their family.
As the saying goes; 'A happy wife, a happy life' haha.

Some mums feel guilty for taking time-out. We understand the feeling of 'missing' your child or children but just think, you'll be a happier mum if you make time for yourself. It's good for your child to get used to someone else looking after them such as dad or a family member so that they have bonding time and get used to someone other then yourself.
So remember mummy time is a good time :)

A day at the Park

I Love the outdoors and my baby enjoys it when we get to go to a park and spend a couple of hours running around. I usually take some toys with me but now I have started to notice how sometimes that can become more of a problem than a good idea. I am guessing sharing is probably the toughest lesson to teach the children, but when it turns into a fight, I wonder, is the child or the parent to blame? How long should we wait to say something or should we just simply remove our little one from the situation?
